Monad Foundation Taps Executives from FalconX, BVNK, and Optimism to Lead Institutional Push and APAC Expansion
Three senior hires with combined experience at J.P. Morgan, Deutsche Bank, Amazon, and leading crypto firms signal a strategic shift toward institutional adoption and global market penetration following November mainnet launch.
George Town, Cayman Islands, February 17, 2026 – The Monad Foundation today announced a strategic leadership expansion with the addition of three senior executives as Monad, the high-performance blockchain network, builds on its November mainnet launch and accelerates institutional adoption and global market growth.
Urvit Goel joins as VP of Go-to-Market from the Optimism Foundation, Joanita Titan joins as Head of Institutional Growth from FalconX, and Sagar Sarbhai joins as Head of Institutions, APAC, most recently from BVNK. The hires follow Monad’s recent public mainnet launch, which included a Coinbase token sale with over 85,000 participants across over 70 countries.
“The first phase of Monad was proving the technology works at scale. A key component of the next phase is demonstrating that institutional participants, whether traditional finance firms, payment providers, or enterprises, can build on top of the Monad network meeting their high reliability expectations,” said Keone Hon, Co-Founder of Monad Foundation.
“Urv, Joanita, and Sagar have collectively navigated regulatory frameworks across multiple jurisdictions, built institutional custody and trading infrastructure, and scaled developer ecosystems. That's precisely the expertise to help propel Monad’s institutional adoption.”
Urvit Goel Comes on Board as VP of Go-to-Market
Goel brings 15+ years spanning finance, gaming, and Web3 ecosystem growth, most recently as Head of Global Business Development at Optimism Foundation, with earlier roles at Polygon Labs and Amazon. As VP of Go-to-Market, he will coordinate brand-building efforts, business development, and support the Monad ecosystem's 300+ project pipeline.
Joanita Titan Joins as Head of Institutional Growth
Titan joins from FalconX, where she led the Custody and Staking business, with prior roles at Anchorage Digital and J.P. Morgan. She will lead Monad Foundation's capital markets strategy, with a focus on institutional participants seeking blockchain infrastructure.
Sagar Sarbhai Named Head of Institutions, APAC
Sarbhai joins with 15+ years spanning institutional finance at J.P. Morgan and Deutsche Bank, followed by senior digital asset roles at Ripple, BVNK, and Fireblocks, where he served as Global Head of Business Solutions, architecting strategies for major enterprises and financial institutions. As Head of Institutions, APAC, he will focus on helping drive adoption across financial institutions, corporates and payment providers throughout APAC while navigating regulatory frameworks across jurisdictions from Hong Kong and Singapore to Japan and South Korea.
The Monad network processes up to 10,000 transactions per second with sub-second finality while maintaining EVM compatibility, positioning it for institutional use cases including high-frequency trading and payment rails. Since mainnet launch, Monad has attracted over 200 million in total value locked. The Monad Foundation recently launched the Nitro accelerator program, offering mentorship from industry leaders and $500,000 per team in funding from leading venture capital firms Paradigm, Electric Capital, Dragonfly, and Castle Island Ventures.
On the Expansion
“What attracted me to Monad is the combination of performance and EVM compatibility; developers don't have to rewrite applications or learn new tooling,” Goel said.
“Monad’s high performance and sub-second finality unlocks the possibilities of high frequency trading of financial assets on the blockchain that weren't previously possible on less performant legacy blockchains,” Titan said.
“APAC has led in both retail crypto adoption and institutional infrastructure development, but institutional participants need blockchain systems that meet traditional finance reliability standards,” Sarbhai said. “My focus will be on demonstrating that Monad can deliver consistent, predictable performance at institutional scale.”
